More jobs lost at JCB and Hugh James solicitors



More jobs lost as JCB Transmissions cuts 50 jobs in Wrexham and Hugh James solicitors announce 65 workers have been made redundant. As 500 workers in Wales are sent home by Corus on basic pay because their is not enough work going round. A grim picture over Wales after the chrismas break



Welsh labour market figures released show that 5,000 jobs were lost in Wales during the month of November.. Welsh unemployment figures have risen by 24,000 to 95,000. A rise which has been equalled by no other region in the UK. The CBI estimate unemployment figures will rise to 151,000 people by mid 2010Here is a picture of job losses in Wales and on the island for the last couple of months. It’s interesting to see how many big companies and small businesses closing. anonymous saidheard that Owens the haulier in Llanelli has got rid of quite a lot of drivers. I know of another further west who hasn't laid people off but telling drivers to stay at home. There are 100's of HGV drivers who are agency workers.....these won't be getting much if any work. Then another different type of job loss you won't hear on the news is like the solicitor I know who was laid off.....I believe his company did a lot of conveyance
